Mosques reopen for congregational prayers
The federal government has allowed the congregational prayers in country's mosques on condition from Thursday.

State Minister for Religious Affairs Ministry confirmed the matter.

The ministry allowed the devotees to provide their daily prayers at mosques with jamaat from Zohr prayers on Thursday maintaining health guidelines.

The state minister said thousands of musullis are eagerly looking forward to offering prayers in jamaat through the holy month of Ramadan.

"Top Alems and Ulemas of the united states have urged the Prime Minister to permit the devotees to provide prayers in the mosques. They also promised to maintain medical guidelines and instructions to stay away from virus.. Following request and the directives by the PM, the Health Ministry has taken the decision," he added.  

The devotees will be permitted to offer prayers at mosques from Zohr prayers tomorrow maintaining health instructions, the minister said adding that mosque managing committees in the united states will be notified the conditions.

Previously April 6, the Ministry of Religious Affairs  issued a crisis notice saying that maximum five persons can congregate in mosques for prayers while 10 devotees can attend the Jummah prayers.

The decision have been taken to contain the escalation of coronavirus cases in Bangladesh.
