Momen-Jaishankar meeting underway
A bilateral meeting between Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr A K Abdul Momen and his Indian counterpart S Jaishankar is underway here on Tuesday (August 20).
Sources said the meeting has started at 11am at the State Guest House Jamuna to discuss various matters of bilateral interest.
Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday (August 19) morning, on a three-day official visit.
Dr A K Abdul Momen received him at the airport.
On Tuesday morning, S Jaishankar visited the Bangabandhu Museum on Dhanmondi Road No.32 and paid respect to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
He is expected to hold a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, in afternoon.
It is S Jaishankar’s first Bangladesh visit after taking oath to office in Narendra Modi’s cabinet on May 30.
He is schedule to leave Dhaka Wednesday (August 21).
