Nine suspected migrants were found clambering up rocks after landing in a small boat. They were seen in Folkestone this morning, according to unconfirmed reports.

It is believed that they called police to say they were in trouble at 7.30am today and had been spotted by a member of the public. A police spokesman said: "Kent Police were called at 6.54am on Sunday ,18 November, to reports of concerns around a number of people in an inflatable boat off the coast of Dover. The incident is being dealt with the Border Force, assisted by HM Coastguard."

There were five known cases of migrant arrives to the east Kent coast this week, all the others being in Dover. This involved 47 people and there was another case, involving seven people, at Dover overnight on November 8 and 9.

That made it a total six known incidents, involving 54 people, between Thursday, November 8 and last Friday.Kent Online has put in enquiries to the coastguards and the Home Office for confirmation and further deals of this latest report.
