'Mayaboti' gets Censor Board nod
Arun Chowdhury who turned-filmmaker from Dramatist, his debut film 'Altabanu' was released last year and his latest directorial big screen venture titled 'Mayaboti' has received an uncut censor certificate from the Bangladesh Film Censor Board on Sunday.

Featured in the film's lead roles, popular actress Nusrat Imrose Tisha and 'Swapnajaal' movie-famed actor Yash Rohan have paired up for the first time. While playing a unique character in 'Mayaboti', Tisha, for the first time, has

played a title role in any film. The film has jointly been produced by Anwar Azad Films and Ananya Srishti Vision.
After receiving the clearance from the censor board, Arun Chowdhury expressed his immediate reaction by saying, "Honorable members of censor board were fascinated by watching our film 'Mayaboti'. I convey my heartfelt thanks to censor board members as well as to all cast and crew of the film. Those who are waiting to watch the film, they would be able to enjoy it soon."

Alongside Tisha and Rohan, the film casts Raisul Islam Asad, Mamunur Rashid, Dilara Zaman, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Afroza Banu, Wahida Mallik Jolly, Aruna Biswas and singer Agun, among others.

About the plot of the film, director Arun Chowdhury said that a young girl named Maya was stolen from her mother and sold by human traffickers in Daulatdia's Red Light area. 

Young Maya was brought up by a local music exponent named Khoda Box in that area. Meanwhile, a neighborhood young man, who is studying to become a barrister, falls in love with Maya. The story takes a new turn when Maya gets involved in a murder case.
