'I don't want to act in typical films, says Sporshia
Orchita Sporshia wants to dedicate herself completely to acting and make a name in Dhallywood and complete her graduation as well. She's currently studying media studies and journalism at University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh. She has won the hearts of film lovers for playing the love interest of an elderly man in 'Abar Basanta', also her debut film.
The film directed by Ananya Mamun was released at cinemas across the country on Eid-ul-Fitr. Sporshia plays the character of 25-year-old Tithi Mostafa, love interest of 65-year-old industrialist named Imran Chowdhury, played by Tariq Anam Khan, in the film.
The actress spoke on her upcoming ventures, future plans and more in an interview. 'I am really happy because the film has received good response from cinema goers. The film is based on an atypical plot. It is a film which people can watch along with their families,' said Sporshia. 'I don't want to act in typical Dhallywood films. I want to hone my acting skills playing challenging characters,' she added.
'Abar Basanta' revolves around a 65-year-old industrialist named Imran Chowdhury, who had lost his wife 15 years ago. He lives all by himself. A father of three, Imran rarely hears from his children, who are busy with their own lives. In a desperate attempt to escape loneliness, Imran decides to marry a 25-year-old woman named Tithi.
Besides Tariq Anam Khan and Orchita Sporshia, the film stars Imtu Ratish, Mukit Zakaria, Monira Mithu, Anondo Khaled, Nusrat Zahan Papia and others. Sporshia's second film 'Kathbirali', directed by Niamul Muktar, will be released after ICC World Cup 2019. 'I have completed the shooting for my second film 'Kathbirali'. The director is looking forward to releasing the film after ICC World Cup 2019,' said Sporshia.
'In Kathbirali, I will be seen as a courageous rural girl. I don't want to reveal much about the plot. I hope film lovers will go to cinemas after it gets released,' she added. After 'Kathbirali', Sporshia will be seen in Noyon Altaf directed 'Manusher Bagan' and Ananya Mamun directed 'Bandhan'.
