LDA's half-day hartal going on
A half-day hartal, called by Left Democratic Alliance (LDA), a platform of left-leaning political parties, is underway across the country on Sunday protesting the protesting the recent gas price hike.
The party leaders brought out processions at Mirpur and Paltan areas in the capital this morning. They have started picketing in different areas.
The hartal supporters staged sit-in at Purana Paltan intersection which causes traffic congestion at Gulistan-Sadarghat, Motijheel, Paltan, Press Club, Kakrail roads.
As a result, office goers and school going students are facing troubles.
