Indian visa mandatory for transit passenger, Biman reminds travel agents
The national carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines warned travel agents on July 2 to not issue any ticket to passengers travelling to Middle East or any other destination via Kolkata without a transit visa for India since it is mandatory.
The carrier also notifies that if any passenger reports at Kolkata airport without a transit visa for India, he/she will be deported back.
Also, Indian immigration may impose a fine of minimum INR 1,00,000 to each passenger as well as the concerned ticket issuing agent.
All travel agents of Bangladesh are requested by Biman to strictly follow the policy.
