Group exhibition by local and Indian artists begins
A two-week group print exhibition titled '53 Graphics from Bangladesh & India' by 39 modern artists of Bangladesh and India began on September 21 at Galleri Kaya in the capital's Uttara area. Eminent artist Monirul Islam inaugurated the exhibition on the gallery premises, while eminent writer and associate editor of The Daily Prothom Alo Anisul Hoque was present as special guest.

A selection of 53 works done in lithograph, etching, aquatint, woodcut, linocut, dry print, silkscreen and serigraph on paper are being showcased in this exhibition.

The participating artists are-MF Husain, Haren Das, Somnath Hore,  Safiuddin Ahmed,  KG Subramanyan, Amitava Banerjee, Mohammad Kibria, Murtaja Baseer, Sanat Kar, Dipak Banerjee, Ganesh Haloi, Lalu Prasad Show, Suhas Roy, Manu Parekh, Sunil Das, Niranjan Pradhan, Monirul Islam, Rafiqun Nabi, Mahmudul Haque, Abul  Barq Alvi, Shahabuddin Ahmed, Aditya Basak, Bimal Kundu, Ratan Mojumder, Monaj Dutta, Atul Dodiya, Pradip Maitra, Wakilur Rahman,  Atin Basak, Rashid Amin, Srikanta Paul, Anisuzzaman, Nagarbasi Barman, Jayanta Naskar, Sheikh Mohammad Rokonuzzaman, Ruhul Amin Tarek, Md Ariful Islam, Md Ashraful Alam Rana and Kamrul Khan. The exhibition will remain open to all every day from 11am to 8pm, until October 5.
