Kishore Bangla distributes prize to quiz winners
Country’s prominent monthly magazine for children and youth ‘Kishore Bangla’ distributed prize and certificates among the winners of its quiz competition.
The prize distribution ceremony was held at the head office of the magazine at Motijheel in Dhaka on Saturday.
Prime Minister’s media advisor and the daily Observer Editor Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury was present as the chief guest of the program.
Eminent cultural figure Dr. Enamul Huq distributed the prizes among the winners. Renowned writer Ali Imam and Mostafa Mamun were also present as the special guests of the ceremony.
The quiz winners from Dhaka received their prizes during this ceremony from their favorite personalities as they participated in the ceremony with their parents and relatives.
Mir Mosharref Hossain, Editor of Kishore Bangla, presided over the ceremony while Miah Monsaf, president of Bangabandhu Shishu Kishore Mela conducted the ceremony.
Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury stressed the importance of reading books in the wake of increase in use of technology. While mentioning the importance of technology, he also warned the parents to be careful of their children’s use of technology and also advised them to inspire their children to read books.
Kishore Bangla’s effort to engage children in reading books was appreciated by Dr. Enamul Huq. He advised the children to associate with cultural activities for mental growth. He asked the children to persuade their friends to read Kishore Bangla.
Popular writer Ali Imam inspired today’s children to nurture their dreams and asked them to find a friend in books.
Kishore Bangla Editor Mir Mosharref Hossain thanked the children and their parents for participating in the ceremony with enthusiasm. He lauded the positive response of the young readers which would take the magazine further.
Advisory Editor Mostafa Mamun and Executive Editor of Kishore Bangla Ahmed Riaz also spoke on the occasion.
Managing Editor Nuronnabi Sarker Tushar, Associate Editor Kaushik Ahmed, Chief Marketing Manager Saiful Haque Siddiqui, Circulation and Marketing Manager Syeda Yasmin Simi and Graphics Designer Mizanoor Rahman Mithu were also present in the ceremony.
