'Killers' accustomed to unruly lives: Monirul
Chief of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit Monirul Islam has said the 'killers', involved in BUET student Abrar Fahad killing, accustomed to an unruly lives.

"They killed Fahd for his suspected links to the Islami Chhatra Shibir," said Monirul Islam at a press briefing held at DMP's media centre in the capital on Wednesday.

"We think that the accused killed Fahad as part of their unruly activities they were used to in the name of ragging," he also added. 

The DMP additional commissioner said, "The chargesheet was sent to Dhaka's Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court this noon. According to the investigation report, a total of 11 people directly involved in the Fahad murder, while 14 others were involved in planning of murder."

Of the 25 accused, 21 people have, so far, been arrested. Of them, 16 were FIR-listed and the rest five were non-FIR-listed.

The four, including three FIR-listed, are absconding, Monirul Islam said.

The 16 FIR-listed accused are Mehedi Hasan Rassel, Md Anik Sarker, Ifti Mosharraf Sokal, Md Mehedi Hasan Robin, Md Meftahul Islam Jiyon, Muntasir Alam Jemmy, Khandoker Tabakkharul Islam Tanvir, Md Mujahidur Rahman, Muhtasim Fuad, Md Maniruzzaman Manir, Md Akash Hossain, Hossain Mohammad Toha, Md Majedul Islam, Shamim Billah, Moaz Abu Hurayra and ASM Nazmus Sadat.  

Abrar Fahad, 21, a second year student of Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), was found dead at his dormitory Sher-e-Bangla Hall in the early hours of October 7.
