Khulna physician killed in scuffle with patient’s relative
A good physician, who was simply injured in a scuffle with a patient's relatives at a private hospital, died on Tuesday evening while appearing treated at Shaheed Sheikh Abu Naser Specialised Hospital in Khulna.

The deceased was discovered as Dr Md Abdur Rakib Khan, 59, director of Raisa Clinic and Diagnostic Centre in Khulna and principal of Bagerhat Medical Assistants' Training School.

It was learnt that the death of a good mother after having a baby to a baby at the clinic resulted in the scuffle.

Saiful Islam, younger brother of the deceased, said one particular Sheuli Begum was admitted to the clinic for having a cesarean delivery over Sunday morning.

The clinic authority referred her to Khulna Medical College Hospital on Monday morning as she was bleeding excessively after having a baby to a baby.

After reaching KMCH, she was described Dhaka as her condition deteriorated.

Finally, she died on her behalf way to Dhaka in the night.

Saiful claimed that some relatives of the patients carried out an attack in his brother at the clinic at 8:50pm in Monday, leaving him injured critically.

He was immediately taken up to Gazi Medical College and Medical center and later was shifted to Shaheed Sheikh Abu Naser Specialised Medical center.

Rakib succumbed to his injuries while being treated at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a healthcare facility around 6:30pm on Tuesday.

Saiful also alleged that whenever he approached Khulna Sadar Police Station, he had not been allowed to lodge a complaint above the incident.
