Khaleda’s health worsens further: Selima Islam
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s health conditions have deteriorated further, her sister Selima Islam claimed.
Selima Islam said: “The government is leading her to death by not granting her bail. She is not receiving the treatment here which she needs. How would she stay alive if she doesn’t get treatment?.”
Selima Islam told reporters on Sunday (January 5) after visiting Khaleda Zia along with other family members at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in the capital.
Selima Islam said: “Her (Khaleda’s) health condition has aggravated further. On that day, I said her fasting was at 15, today it is at 18. She can’t hold her hand straight. Her hand and fingers have become bent. Her conditions are very bad. She underwent operations on her knees. She has got pain in her knees and they have become swollen. Her legs can’t function.”
Asked whether Khaleda told them anything about her bail, Selima replied that Khaleda Zia did not say anything about it.
