Khaleda sick, relatives fail to meet her: Sister
Though they got permission from the jail authorities, the relatives of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia could not meet her on Saturday due to her illness, said her sister.

"We've come to know Khaleda Zia is suffering from fever and body aches. So, she couldn't meet us as she was unable to come down to the guestroom from the 1st floor," Khaleda's sister Selina Islam told journalists at the gate of Old Dhaka Central Jail, UNB reports.

Selina and four other relatives entered the jail around 4pm and came out of it about 45 minutes later.

Khaleda's relatives last met her on June 30.

Earlier on Wednesday, BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at a press conference alleged that the jail authorities were not allowing Khaleda's relatives and party leaders to meet her with an ulterior motive.
