Khaleda release sought in BNP’s hunger strike
BNP on Wednesday staged a token hunger strike demanding the release of its jailed Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
The programme began on the premises of Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh at 10 am and ended 12 noon.
BNP leaders and activists holding banners, festoons and placards joined the programme and chanted slogans to have their chairperson freed from jail.
The strike continued simultaneously in all metropolitans and districts, said BNP leaders.
On Monday, BNP formed human chains across the country, including in front the Jatiya Press Club in the capital, to press the same demand.
