Justin apologizes to Britney after film backlash
Justin Timberlake has apologized to Britney Spears after a fresh documentary led to criticism of how he treated her after and during their relationship.

Framing Britney Spears highlighted archive clips of Timberlake talking about his sexual relationship with the singer.

In a statement on Instagram on Friday, Timberlake explained he was "deeply sorry" and wished to "take accountability".

He also apologized to Janet Jackson, after failing to support her over their controversial Super Bowl effectiveness.

Timberlake and Spears dated between 1999 and 2002, while he was an associate of boy band N*Sync.

After their split, he indirectly accused her of cheating on him when he hired a lookalike actress to surface in the video for his single Cry Me A River.

After finding fame at the end of the 1990s, Spears explained she was waiting until she was wedded to reduce her virginity.

But throughout a radio interview, a good clip which features found in the documentary, Timberlake publicly revealed that they had slept together.

Two years later, at the 2004 Super Bowl, Timberlake performed with Janet Jackson, accidentally exposing her breast. The "wardrobe malfunction", since it became known, resulted in outcry and issues from viewers.

Although both apologized, Jackson absorbed the bulk of the detrimental publicity. She was fined and blacklisted by US radio and MTV, and Timberlake's failing to publicly support her was intensely criticized in old age.

Interest in Spears has been renewed by the launch of the New York Circumstances documentary, which examines how Spears has got been treated throughout her job.

It has resulted in criticism of Timberlake and additional statistics including journalist Diane Sawyer, who told Spears throughout a 2003 interview she had "disappointed a whole lot of mothers", and gossip blogger Perez Hilton, who was simply mixed up in coverage of her 2007 breakdown.

The film also switches into detail about the singer's conservatorship, a legal arrangement that has given her father Jamie Spears control over her career and financial affairs since 2008.

However about Thursday, a judge upheld a previous ruling that built a financial company a co-conservator for the singer, and rejected Mr Spears' request to keep his previous degree of power more than his daughter's investments.
