Journalists decides to boycott Overall health Ministry briefing
Journalists are determined to boycott a good press conference of medical Ministry scheduled for Tuesday morning hours protesting arrest of Prothom Alo senior reporter Rozina Islam.
A press release of Bangladesh Secretariat Reporters' Forum (BSRF), signed by its standard secretary Shamim Ahmed, confirmed the problem this morning.
The release said the journalists will boycott the press conference, scheduled to be held at 11am, for harassing and arrest of BSRF and BHRF's member Rozina Islma.
The senior journalist was detained on Monday for taking pictures of some official documents of The Health Ministry at the Secretariat without due permission.
Hours after detention, Rozina was handed over to Shahbagh Police Station around 8:30 pm.
A case was filed during the night against her beneath the Official Secrets Act.
