Journalist Rozina Islam gets bail
A Dhaka courtroom has granted bail to Prothom Alo senior reporter Rozina Islam in a case filed beneath the Official Secrets Act.
Metropolitan Magistrate Baki Billah approved the order practically on Sunday morning with a bond of Tk 5,000.
Rozina must submit her passport, the magistrate also said.
On May 20, the hearing on the case happened at the same court.
The journalist was demonstrated arrested in the event and delivered to Kashimpur Women's Jail on May 18 after her bail was rejected.
She was detained at the Ministry of Health within the Bangladesh Secretariat on Mon night on fee of “stealing” government paperwork and taking photographs of them on her cellular phone without permission.
Deputy Secretary of Well being Solutions Shibbir Ahmed filed the case against her with Ramna Law enforcement Station.
