Cine journalist Shafiuzzaman dies of Covid-19
Senior cine journalist, organizer and presenter Shafiuzzaman Khan Lodi died of Covid-19 on Sunday while undergoing treatment at Japan East-West Medical College Hospital in Dhaka. He was 65. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, and a son.
Lodi tested positive for Covid-19 the other day and was admitted to Kurmitola General Hospital. Later, the journalist was shifted to Japan East-West Medical College Hospital. Shafiuzzaman Lodi anchored various programs aired on radio and tv that included Aamar Chhobi which have been aired on Channel-i from 2000 for 18 years. He was buried in Uttara following his namaz-e-janaza after Asr prayers.
