Khulna journalist arrested under Digital Security Act
Journalist Md Abu Tayeb Munshi, Khulna Correspondent of private television channel 'ntv' was arrested by police in a case filed beneath the Digital Security Act (DSA) on Tuesday.
Khulna City Corporation mayor and Khulna City Awami League president Talukder Abdul Khaleque filed the case.
Khulna Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Ashraful Alam said journalist Abu Tayeb Munshi was arrested by police from his Noor Nagar house at about 10:30pm on Tuesday.
He said Khulna City Corporation mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque filed the case against him with Khulna Police Station beneath the DSA.
The OC said journalist Abu Tayeb Munshi has recently made a Facebook post against Talukder Abdul Khaleque. For the reason that post, he made an allegation of evading customs duty by Talukder Abdul Khaleque at Mongla Port.
