Jaya in Kaushik's new film 'Ardhangini'
After packing a punch as Padma in 'Bishorjon' and its sequel, 'Bijoya', Jaya Ahsan will be pairing up with Kaushik Ganguly one more time in 'Ardhangini'. The actress who'll be seen in and as 'Ardhangini' or the better half is none other than Churni Ganguly., reports Times Of India.

The film also stars the likes of Ambarish Bhattacharya and young actor Purab Seal Acharya, son of singer Srikanta Acharya. Though the film team is closely guarding the storyline, 'Ardhangini' is about two powerful women, who are thrown in together by circumstances. Said a source close to the development, "The film is set to roll from October 23, though there has not been any script narration yet. Also, the rest of the cast is not yet locked."

Jaya, who is currently in Bangladesh, will reach Kolkata just ahead of the shoot. The actress recently wrapped up Atanu Ghosh's 'Robibar' and will need to complete the patch shoot of Soukarya Ghosal's 'Bhoot Pari' before she starts 'Ardhangini'.

Meanwhile, Churni, whose 'Tarikh' won the National Film Award for best dialogue, is in the city of Niterói, State of Rio de Janeiro, where her film has been selected for the 4th BRICS Film Festival. She too is yet to read the script. In the film, Ambarish's character appears at an important juncture and the movie will also put his skills as a singer to test. Purab, who is also in Kaushik's 'Lakkhi Chhele', will be seen in yet another crucial character.
