Interior design brand KC aims to go global
Creativity calls for courage, according to Henri Matisse, a good famous French artist from the 1800s known for both his make use of colour and liquid and original draughtsmanship.
This estimate rings true for interior designer Kawsar Chowdhury, also the managing director of Green Furniture, who comes with an unquenchable thirst for innovation and the use of cutting-edge technologies to produce a range of dwelling décor products.
Fastidious about minor details, passionate about design and with a keen interest on the juxtaposition of art and décor, Chowdhury has recently received the hearts of the local clientele.
Now even if, he has turned his sights to the international arena and aims to bring his products prior to the global market through KC, a couture manufacturer for residence décor and interior design solutions.
"Many renowned architects from all over the world used to send me personally their designs, which I would make. Therefore all credit would go to those guys but nonetheless, I was the person behind the scenes with my impressive technology and manufacturing potential," Chowdhury told The Daily Superstar in a recently available interview.
However, he soon determined a distaste for merely producing the patterns of others.
"I considered to myself: why not make an effort to be like Giorgio Armani or any of the other legendary artists and build my very own designs under my own brand," he said.
With that in mind, Chowdhury established KC, named after his initials, one and a half years back to bring the very best and latest systems and develop his styles consistent with international standards.
KC is a good trademark of Eco Wood, the brand's production hub that was established about 14 years ago in Kanchpur. It is a finished factory with over 120 workers.
"If there was simply no coronavirus pandemic this season, I would have previously announced KC's primary exports through an exhibition," Chowdhury added.
However, KC will only ship its products to select clients after locally making their customised orders. This implies that foreign clients cannot retail the business's products under their private brands.
As an aesthete, Chowdhury is highly sensitive to the wonder in every things and believes that individuals have a heightened impression of wellbeing when in the existence of something truly exquisite.
"I am passionate about creating exquisite homes and making bold statements. I take inspiration from my travels, from art, from style, from anything delightful I run into." he explained, adding that whenever defining an area, he keeps the client's vision in mind from the start.
"Through the use of technology, I make what was impossible yesterday, possible today," Chowdhury said.
As a complete turnkey for tailor made interior designs, KC makes wall, ground, ceiling and door panels alongside kitchen cabinets, closets, various pieces of furniture and home automation features.
"I just noticed on my travels to locations including the UAE that just the surfaces and ceilings at landmark hotels just like the Burj Khalifa were more than enough to dictate a good room's environment," the managing director added.
In a bid to attain similar results, Chowdhury and his team obsess over every detail, spending a few months on end to complete a project as they tirelessly strive for the unexpected.
KC offers three types for its kitchen units: classic, modern and double luxury.
Typical kitchen cabinets have a vintage American look and with a satin finish, they are a nostalgic throwback to his days studying in america.
They are custom made using Italian technology and can be found in an elegant white.
"For modern-day kitchens, We pioneered the European high-gloss look 12 years back and have ground breaking materials that may create seamless curves and patterns to my heart's articles," he said.
Meanwhile, KC's doubly extravagance kitchen cupboards are sandwiched systems with both sides protected within an acrylic and particular lamination coating for a sparkling finish.
All panels are framed with a good sleek aluminium account and clients can also order them with a good custom pattern or perhaps textured finish.
"I was inspired by Italian home styles and spent at least three months doing R&D before perfecting it for our consumers, who would like full protection within their kitchens," Chowdhury said.
Besides, the manufacturer retails bath room sinks, centre-piece pillars and color changing bedroom cupboards aswell.
"A precious item is our custom design walk-in closet. A KC walk-in closet is the epitome of magnificent living. They are completely bespeaking in design, resources and finish while tailored to the clients taste," he added.
KC ground panels are constructed of oak, mahogany or teak. They can be found in matte, natural glossy wood or rough surface finishes and regarding to Chowdhury, these wooden flooring are not only a thing of wonder, but are also scratch-evidence and durable due to the special multi-layer coatings and finishing.
"We use high grade down feathers of 700 Fill-Power. A-class recycleables and the abundant and opulent overtones, make each piece a bold declaration," he said.
Chowdhury has recently designed 250 rooms of the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka Resort and several other sophisticated buildings, like the lobby of Le Méridien Dhaka, another five-star hotel in the capital.
His spouse and children used to create building materials. Later on, when he returned after completing his study from the US in 1995, Chowdhury began making marble with a plant. About 14 years back, he established the furniture and home décor manufacturer: Green Furniture.
However, not really everything has been about the up and up for the managing director.
When the coronavirus broke away in NY in February, many of his acquaintances, including plenty of friends died of the disease.
"From then on, I started researching the way the coronavirus spreads while I always make an effort to learn new stuff and for that I study, travel and execute a large amount of research," Chowdhury said.
In March, he was convinced that the coronavirus was airborne and that it had been more powerful and fast spreading in enclosed areas.
"Since I work inside the setting up, I have considerable knowledge and connection with dealing with airflow and lightings," he added.
And so, he is now focusing on an innovative method of decrease the spread of Covid-19 in confined spaces.
"I have given presentations to some organisations plus they have shown fascination in my own solutions. I am certainly not doing this for earnings, but instead on humanitarian grounds as I've lost a few of my close types during these hard times," Chowdhury said.
He also strategies to introduce Far-UVC lighting, which scientists believe would be a new program to control the pass on of Coronavirus.
A good wavelength of ultraviolet light, referred to as far-UVC, may safely kill superbugs such as the coronavirus and influenza without penetrating people's epidermis, according to radiation scientist David Brenner, the director of the guts for Radiological Study at Columbia University.
Chowdhury himself became infected back Might and after battling Covid-19 for over a month, during which he spent a fantastic 12 days in a healthcare facility, he recovered in later June.
Now, he on a regular basis donates plasma to helping coronavirus patients that are undergoing treatment have an improved chance at survival.
"My whole point of view on life provides changed after my around death Covid-19 experience. THEREFORE I am doing as much as possible to prevent its spread from my end," he said".
