HC orders to provide due advantages to 39 retired valiant FF officials
The High Court (HC) on Monday ordered the Ministry of Public Administration to provide due benefits to 39 valiant freedom fighters (FFs) admin cadres of first BCS, who was simply denied their promotions and other additional profits from 2001 to 2003.
A HIGHER Court division virtual bench of Justice Naima Haider and Justice Razik-Al-Jalil passed the order today, declaring absolute a rule issued earlier in this regard.
The court in its judgment said these petitioners, who went into retirement as joint secretaries and deputy secretaries according to the concerned guidelines, would get retrospective promotion and other benefits according to their service competence.
Advocate Reza-e-Rabbi Khandaker moved the plea for the petitioners, while deputy lawyer general Amit Talukder stood for the state.
The court earlier issued the rule in 2013, after holding hearings on three separate writ petitions filed by these 39 deprived officials.
