Hasina asks AL men for making ‘Boat’ a success
DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is also the president of ruling Awami League party, has asked her party activists to work hard so that boat, the party symbol, can win the next national election.
The premier came up with this direction to grassroots activists of the party at a special extended meeting organized at her official residence-Ganabhaban on Saturday (July 07).
“The boat must win the next election. The trial that we have started of war criminals will be halted if Awami League doesn’t come to power. Even there would be attacks. Bangladesh will be stripped off its ideals. Therefore, work hard, lest the boast defeated,” Sheikh Hasina said.
Addressing Member of Parliament (MP)’s ministers, leaders and activists of her party, president of Awami League said, “Seek vote for boat from people again and again in every village. Enlighten them about development schemes properly. Bear in mind, not a single seat is lost, boat is not lost.”
“We can’t form a government even with the loss of a single seat. The next election will be a tough one. With that in mind, everyone has to work,” she also said.
Representatives from the union level of Dhaka, Mymensingh, Rangpur and Khulna division took part in the extended meeting.
