Grooming underway to find next 'Miss World'
Miss World Bangladesh pageant has opened its door again to the gorgeous ladies of Bangladesh to come and become the most beautiful girl of the country. The latest edition of this prestigious beauty pageant began through an audition round at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) on Sunday.
A total of 30,000 contestants from across the country registered for Miss World Bangladesh 2018. The organizers selected 1200 contestants for participating in the first round held at BFDC on Sunday. After the first round, the top 100 contestants were selected.
Now the grooming session has begun for these contestants. The grooming session will continue for one more day. This year singer Shuvro Dev, model-actor Tarin, Emi, actor Khaled Sujan and barrister Farabi are judging the contestants. Tarin will judge the participants in terms of dance, Shuvro Dev will focus on their singing talents, Khaled Sujan will see how the girls are walking on ramp and Emi will judge their fashion and outfits.
They will judge throughout the whole competition; however, icon judges like Bibi Russel will join them at the gala round. Anchored by DJ Sonica, the audition and the TV round will be telecast on ATN Bangla from September 26 at 9:00pm. The title sponsor of 'Miss World Bangladesh 2018' is Diamond World.
Swapan Chowdhury, chairman of Anotor Showbiz informed that this year's beauty competition is expected to have its grand finale in the beginning of October, so the winner can participate with proper grooming in 'Miss World' competition happening China on December 7. The organizers have taken measures to keep this year's pageant free from controversy.
'If a contestant gives any wrong information, she will have to pay a fine of Tk 1,000,000', said Swapan Chowdhury. The winner of 'Miss World Bangladesh' will represent Bangladesh to the global platform. This occasion is also a great opportunity for the contestant to uphold the glory and pride of the national flag of Bangladesh in the international arena.
