The hunt is on again for Miss World Bangladesh

Miss World Bangladesh pageant is going to open its door to the gorgeous ladies of Bangladesh to come and become the most beautiful girl of the country once again. The pageant is returning with its second-ever edition.

Last year, Jannatul Nayeem Avril became the first ever Miss World Bangladesh. What's interesting though is that she could not hold her title for more than a week as she was dethroned from her title. It turned out that the young queen was already married and divorced and the pageant rules strictly specify that a participant should not be married.

Not only was the crowned queen married but even the participatory judges pointed out that they did not vote for Jannatul stating that she was not even in the top 3.

Later on, the first runner-up of Miss World Bangladesh 2017, Jessia Islam was crowned as the winner and she went on to represent Bangladesh in Miss World 2017, where she was the winner of group six of the Head-to-Head Challenge and also the runner-up for the People's Choice Award.

With its share of controversies and goof-ups, many thought that the pageant will not be organized for a second time. However, Antar Showbiz chairman Shapan Chowdhury said, "There is nothing to worry. Miss World Bangladesh will happen again and an announcement will come very soon."
