Govts urged to share innovations, strategies to overcome COVID impacts
Speakers at a good webinar on Sunday (June 21) suggested the governments to share their innovations and strategies to overcome medical and economic impacts found in the post-COVID era.
They also requested all of the nations to help the other person for restarting the market boosting their businesses and trades to tackle the pandemic.
Economists, journalists, and academicians from New Zealand, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Singapore and Bangladesh took component at the webinar titled “COVID-19: Lessons from Successful Countries”.
The webinar was organized by the data to Wisdom (k2w.com.bd), an area data and knowledge sharing platform, on Sunday in Dhaka.
The seminar was spoken amongst others by Dr Syed Abul Hasan, teacher of the Massey University of New Zealand, Ms Kanlayawee Weawkalyhong, a TV journalist from Thailand, Mr Ifham Nizam, senior journalists from The Island newspaper in Sri Lanka and Dambar K Ghimiray, Mass Interaction and Journalism teacher at Royal Thimphu University of Bhutan took part at the conversation.
The discussants shared the activities of their respective countries to curb the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Dr Hasan said the countries around the world especially found in the regions should focus on expanding their trade and businesses through simplifying the tax and fiscal measures for each other.
He suggested Bangladesh federal government to do something properly to medical issues in addition to expanding the sociable safety-nets for the jobless persons.
Mr Ghimiray of Bhutan explained the innovations and guidelines of the countries ought to be transmitted and adopted by the governments to tackle the effect on the economy.
Ms Kanlayawee said Thailand features applied best health offerings and insurance policy of shutdown through a proper way which helps persons to restrict the spreading of the Coronavirus.
Mr Nizam of Sri Lanka explained the emergency and curfew had presented a best cause his country which different countries can follow.
He has stressed the necessity for collaboration among the countries to restart the overall economy helping the other person through their finest practices and innovations.
