Govt. mulls National Normal water Grid Line: LGRD Minister
Local Government and Rural Development (LGRD) Minister Md Tajul Islam reported on Wednesday the government plans to launch National Drinking water Grid Line to make sure safe water supply across the country, like the coastal areas.
He said this even while addressing nearly the Governing Board Conference-2021 in The Regional Focus on Urban Water Supervision (RCUWM).
He also called on member says to launch inter-border normal water grid lines to manage regional water issues.
Safe normal water supply has become a challenge not only in the coastal areas but also in some other parts of the united states, Tajul said.
This challenge would be met if water could possibly be supplied through zones and sub-zones via the National Water Grid Line, he mentioned.
The LGRD Minister also proposed to explore the opportunity of taking the thought of constructing a cross-border water grid between Bangladesh and RCUWM member countries.
