Golpo Ghorer Kabbo Kotha: An assessment -- II
With some noble thoughts brewed in the recesses of imagination of three Bangladeshi gracious girls now living in Germany, a platform-facebook group 'Amader Golpo Ghor---- a business with 4000 Bengalis as its members all over the world is currently playing its active role to be of aid to Sopno Tara.

In his complimentary note, reputed poet Asad Chowdhury lauded the noble role played in serving the sources of literature, arts and culture by few Bangladeshis surviving in Germany. He further added, he was overwhelmed with joy to learn that whatever has been earned from the project will be spent in the service of humanitarian cause in Bangladesh.

I am failing in doing my duty, at this point, if I usually do not mention the name of poet Fazlur Rahman, a valiant freedom fighter, culturally accomplished man and dedicated social worker residing in Germany who acts as prime mover behind the project as mentioned. A few poems that he has contributed for the book will probably be worth relishing.

Golpo Ghorer Kabbo Kotha contains a plethora of poems of different hues and flavor by 25 poets from your home and abroad. Both the groups of poets whether or not they are moving into Bangladesh or abroad have composed poems which paint pictures of both rural and urban Bangladesh enriched with fauna and flora with permeating aroma of clay soil of Bangladesh wafting in its air.

Inspired and led by poet Fazlur Rahman, a couple of young poets like SorojiniHaq, Mir Zabeda Islam, SikhaAkhtar, Hossain Abdul Hai, NipuDewan, TaheraSirin, DilshadJahan Khan, Keya Ahmed rode the German caravan, while Ayesha SiddiqaKonok joined the rolling caravan all the way from Canada, with Jahangir AlamChanchol joining the team from Sweden and all of them gracefully opened their repertory of poems which could touch the heart of connoisseur of poetry across the world.

Back at home, one of the prime movers of the project, a high profile former civil bureaucrat turns an authentic poet with composing poems in his own style and increasing his credit in composing Haiku ---- in seven words centering on Japanese sort of 17 syllable that he satirically named 'Biku' for the reason that is best recognized to him, Ahbab Ahmad filled his moving caravan with the galaxy of young poets who ceaselessly illuminate the firmament of poetry with their scintillating poems to visit deep into the hearts and souls of poetry loving individuals, deserves special mention at this stage. Poet Ahbab Ahmed has epitomized his unmatching skill and penmanship in his poetic accomplishment glorifying our Ekushey February by writing a gleaming and ebullient poem 'O, Ekushey' accompanied by two other poems, one being a satirical in nature dealing in existing Coronavirus pandemic with equal flare and flex.

A publisher, steering the helm of Academic Press and Publishers Library (APPL) who rose over time to become poet beneath the tutelage of poet Ahbab Ahmad's very long time friend since the college days Late Dr. MizanurRahman Shelley --- a most brilliant product of his generation as well as perhaps, a bright soul ever and an ambidextrous writer and poet by his own rights, Ahmad Sarwar contributed half a dozen of charming poems of different taste and flavor, one poem being duly dedicated in fond memory of his idol Late Dr. Shelley in the book.

Besides that other contributing poets based in Bangladesh like AyubHossain, ShiluZaman, Rebeca Reba, ShahidaArabiMishu, JannatulFerdous, Shiplu Kumar Das, KulsumAkhtarAnkhi, Ila Mir, Dr. Mir ZahidaNaznin, ShohelBishal , Salma Sultana added a pinch of extra tasting salt and mouthwatering aroma within their respective poems painting pictures of joy & sorrow, pains & anguish, hopes and despairs in the thread which human lives swings just like a pendulam constantly seeking its meaning and truth, for the readers to take pleasure from.

In goes beyond any doubt that the poems within the anthology GolpoGhorerKabboKotha is a enjoyable read and can obviously capture the imagination of males and females with huge love for poetry.

I wish all of the poets who've generously contributed in the noble act of helping the children and marginalized people beneath the umbrella of Sopno Tara, in whose lips if a flicker of smiles could play even for an instant out of the benevolent work, will be looked at as an work of great success.
