Extortion case: Jatri Kalyan Samity secy gen arrested
Bangladesh Jatri Kalyan Samity Secretary General Mozammel Haque Chowdhury was arrested in a case filed with Mirpur Model Police Station on extortion charge.
Police nabbed him from his residence in Sanarpar area of Siddhirganj upazila of Narayanganj, around 3am Thursday (September 6).
Mirpur Model Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Rokon confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
One Dulal lodged a case accusing Mojammel of extortion, he said.
Remand plea would be filed after producing him before the court, added the SI.
