Exhibition begins to mark China's founding anniversary
An exhibition has begun at National Art Gallery of Shilpakala Academy in the capital to mark the 70th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China. Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni, State Minister of Cultural Affairs KM Khalid, Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Li Jiming spoke at the inaugural ceremony held on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, Dipu Moni said Bangladesh-China relationship could further be strengthened through cultural exchanges.Chinese Ambassador Li Jiming said they will support cultural and people-to-people exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.

Shilpakala Academy Director General Liaquat Ali Lucky, Bangladesh-China Friendship Center Chairman Md Delwar Hossain and Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh Chairman Lin Weiqiang also attended the inaugural ceremony. The exhibition considered the largest Chinese show ever organised in Bangladesh is scheduled to be concluded on October 10.

The show has been divided into four parts - "Our Silk Road" photo exhibition, "Bangladesh Children Art Competition & Exhibition, "Express Your Chinese Story by Painting" art exhibition, and  "Bangladesh and China on the Belt and Road" photograph exhibition.
