EC finds all nomination papers of BFF election valid
The Election Commission (EC) of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) declared on Friday all of the submitted forty-nine nomination papers as valid.
“The choice procedure started today (Friday) at election commission office at BFF Bhaban. After scrutiny, the election commission found no error and declared all of the forty-nine nomination papers valid,” explained the principle election commission Mezbah Uddin Ahmed through a video recording message today.
“We have received three nomination papers against president post, several papers for senior vice-president posts, eight papers for vice-president posts and thirty-six papers for member posts,” he added.
“Tomorrow (Saturday) may be the deadline for withdrawal of nomination paper and we are expecting to publish the ultimate list of the prospects on Sunday,” he said.
The prospects submitted their nomination papers on September 8 last to contest the much-hyped BFF election.
A complete of 139 delegates are anticipated to cast their votes to elect a 21-member executive committee on October 3 polls.
