180 female police leave for Congo to join UN Peacekeeping Mission
A good 180-member contingent of the Bangladesh Formed Police Product (BANFPU) kept Dhaka to become listed on the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Congo by a chartered aircraft of the Bangladesh Biman in the first hours of Friday.
It was stated in a news release signed by AIG (Press) Sohel Rana from the authorities Headquarters.
The press release said Commander Merina Aktar is leading the Bangladesh Formed Police Unit (BANFPU) team. In addition, it features 15 commanding officers incorporating deputy commander Rounak Alam, Mohammad Harun ar Rashid, logistics officer, Functions officer Mohammad Abu Sufian.
DIG (Logistics) Towfique Mahbub Chowdhury was present in Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka to see off the peacekeeping workforce, the release added.
