Flipkart Wholesale app launched to place local manufacturers touching retailers
Flipkart on Wednesday launched an app, Flipkart Wholesale, to bring the wholesale marketplace online, which makes it possible for local manufacturers to find retailers because of their products.
A one-stop solution, Flipkart Wholesale will enable manufacturers and retailers to find one another easily.
The platform is currently designed for fashion retailers, especially footwear and apparel, in Gurugram, Delhi and Bengaluru, with plans to expand to Mumbai aswell, the company said in a news release.
By this year end, Flipkart Wholesale also plans to expand to 20 more cities and in categories such as for example Home, Kitchen and Grocery.
The B2B digital platform is designed for retailers on the Google Play Store. It aims to rope in over 300 strategic partners and also have over two lakh listings in 8 weeks. Additionally, the platform are certain to get 50 brands and over 250 local manufacturers up to speed in the coming days, the business said.
