Dengue: Leaves of all officials of city corporations and townships including local govt. cancelled across the country
Weakly and ministerial leaves of all officials of city corporations and townships including local govt. have been cancelled all over the country.
According to the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (LGRD), this decision has been taken to successfully operate the mosquito annihilation raid with proper implementation, co-ordination and firm observation.
The LGRD office notice said the dengue outbreak is a result of the propagation of Aedes mosquitos. Local government, city corporations and different ministries have taken various measures to control the outbreak of dengue disease. Which includes creating public awareness, destroying the breeding grounds, conducting cleaning expedition and annihilation of larvae and mosquito.
Ershadul Hoque, the deputy secretary of local govt. stated that to succeed the mosquito annihilation program, all weekly and governmental holidays of officials and staffs of local govt. offices, all city corporations and municipalities of country including Dhaka north and south city have been cancelled.
