CTTC arrests 4 neo-JMB militants over Paltan blast
A group of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) product of Dhaka Metropolitan Police has arrested four alleged members of banned militant clothing neo-Jama’atul Mujahiden Bangladesh (JMB) from capital’s Uttara Azampur area.

The arrestees are- Mamun Al Mozahid, Md Al Amin, Md Mojahidul Islam and Sarwar Hossain Rahat. Police seized eight cellular phone sets from their possession, a DMP discharge said.

“A CTTC group arrested the four from Uttara Azampur area at around 9pm on September 10. Regulations enforcing agency conducted the raid under ongoing Procedure Elegant Bite,” the launching added.

Police said they found the hyperlink of these accused with the bomb blast that occurred in capital’s Paltan region on July 24, 2020. A circumstance was filed with Paltan Police Station in this conncetion.

Police arrested five members of neo-JMB from Sylhet on August 11, 2020, and by interrogating them, CTTC found details about the whereabouts of the four accused.

Meanwhile, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Sufian Md Noman located the alleged militants on two-day remand each.
