COVID-19 deaths surpass 1,600 in country
Thirty-nine more persons died of novel coronavirus in Bangladesh in last 24 hours till Thursday afternoon which took the full total tally to at least one 1,621.

Of the deceased, 32 were male and seven were woman. And of them, 28 died at hospital where 11 in the home. 

The death rate is currently 1.28 per cent.

Meanwhile, positive cases reached at 1,26,606 with 3,946 more infection situations after testing 17,999 samples in 66 labs in the united states.

Some 1,829 more patients who were acquiring treatment at home and hospitals built restoration from the virus infection. Now the recovery number stood at 51,495.

Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), confirmed the problem in the daily online bulletin on the COVID-19 situation this afternoon.

She urged everyone to remain at home and follow the health recommendations issued by the DGHS and Environment Health Organisation. She also requested people to work with masks outdoor and wash hands with soap.

Bangladesh reported its initial cases on March 8. The amount of instances has spiked in new weeks.

Dr Nasima Sultana urged the father and mother to bring their kids to the nearest EPI centres for vaccination.

She informed that the EPI centres have already been asked to continue the immunisation programme maintaining health guidelines.

The global loss of life toll from Covid-19 reached 482, 128 on Thursday morning, based on the Centre for System Research and Engineering of  Johns Hopkins University.
 
Besides, the quantity of confirmed situations rose to 9,405,800, according to JHU data.
