Bangladesh's first judge dies from coronavirus infection
Ferdous Ahmed, judge of Lalmonirhat District Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal, died from Covid-19 in Wednesday night, Supreme Court spokesman Saifur Rahman told Daily Observer Online.

The judge breathed his previous around 8:00pm at the Combined Military Medical center in Dhaka after testing Covid-19 positive a few days ago.

He was first shifted to the ICU of the CMH following respiratory challenges.

His family said he had gone to Lalmonirhat on June 1 and returned to Dhaka on June 4 after completing his judicial activities.

He's the first judge found in the united states who died from coronavirus infection. He hailed from Jamalpur district and is due to retire in November at age 58.

As much as 26 judges have up to now been infected with the deadly virus.

Meanwhile, Law Minister Anisul Huq expressed deep shock in the death of the judge. The minister prayed for the salvation of his departed soul and expressed deep sympathy for his family.
