Covid certificate scam: Dr Sabrina denied bail
The High Court has denied bail to JKG Healthcare Chairperson Dr Sabrina Sharmin Hussain in a case filed over issuing fake Covid-19 test reports and related fraud.
The bench of Justice Sheikh Md Zakir Hossain and Justice KM Zahid Sarwar dismissed the bail plea on the lands that it had been not properly presented.
Advocate Syed Mamun Mahbub stood for the petitioner even though Deputy Attorney Standard Md Monirul Islam represented the status.
The case happens to be being heard by the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate’s Courtroom.
Law enforcement arrested Sabrina on July 12. She’s in jail in a case filed over issuing false Covid-19 certificates.
JKG Health care reportedly provided 27,000 coronavirus reports without pursuing proper test types of procedures while the majority of them turned out to be fake.
On August 20, a Dhaka court framed costs against Sabrina and seven other folks in the case.
