Corona infected BSMMU professor in ICU
Professor Dr Nazrul Islam, chairman of Department of Rheumatology at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
As his condition was deteriorated on Monday night, he was admitted to a hospital in Dhaka. He's now undergoing treatment at the ICU of a healthcare facility.
In a Facebook post, Dr Nazrul said, "I was queasy over past few days and yet visited BSMMU for department work. There have been few coronavirus patients in my own department too. I tried to remain safe, but failed. Now I tested positive the coronavirus."
Earlier, two more doctors of BSMMU tested positive with the virus. They have recovered recently.
