Bus kills Eden college student
A female college student was killed and 10 others were injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Narayanganj district's Siddhirganj, on the outskirts of Dhaka, on Friday afternoon.
Deceased Taslima Akter Luva, 25, was a masters student at Eden Mahila College in Dhaka, said Siddhirganj Police Station sub-inspector Md Nasir Uddin.
He said a bus of 'Shyamoli Paribahan' hit a human hauler (locally known as leguna) in Sanarpar area around 1:00pm, leaving one of its passengers Taslima dead on the spot and 10 others injured.
The injured were taken to Pro-Active Medical College Hospital and Dhaka Medical College Hospital, SI Nasir added.
