BGB deployed in the united states over anti-Modi protests
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel have already been deployed in the united states including the capital because of the volatile situation due to the anti-Modi protests.
BGB Public Relations Official Lt Col Faizur Rahman confirmed the problem on Friday night.
Lt Col Faizur said the VVIPs are actually staying in the united states. Many Islamic organisations happen to be demonstrating anti-Modi protests.
Because of this, the BGB personnel were deployed since Friday night to keep the law and order circumstance normal, he added.
Over 50 people, including journalists, were injured in a clash among the police, Chhatra Group and Jubo Group and protesters at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in city on Friday protesting the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bangladesh.
While at Chattogram's Hathazari, at least, four people, including three Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh activists, were killed and dozens injured found in a clash between police and the demonstrators protesting the visit of Modi.
In Brahmanbaria, a madrasa student was as well killed in police firing throughout a protest over the same reason.
Meanwhile, Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh in Friday night declared a countrywide protest over Saturday and a dawn-to-dusk hartal for Sunday protesting the attack and killing of its activists found in Dhaka, Chattogram and Brahmanbaria.
