BD Embassy in Washington launches passport-tracking system
The Bangladesh Embassy in Washington, DC has launched a tracking system to allow applicants to learn the status of their passport, visa, No Visa Required (NVR) seal and dual nationality certificate.
That is being done as part of improving consular service coinciding the celebration of the "Mujib Borsho", the birth centenary of Dad of the country Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, said the Embassy on February 6.
The machine was inaugurated by M Shahidul Islam, Bangladesh Ambassador to the USA. "We expectation that the tracking system will reduce the anxiousness of our consular provider seekers," said the Ambassador.
The tracking system allows applicants to know when their applications have already been received by the embassy, so when they are dispatched. It'll inform the applicants at all phases of processing of their applications.
The system will also generate electronic mails keeping the applicant informed of the status of the service requested.
