B'baria ASP (circle) removed; Probe-body formed
Brahmanbaria's ASP (circle) Masud Rana has been removed for his failure to avoid huge gathering at the namaj-e-janaza for Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish Nayebe Ameer Maulana Jubayer Ahmed Ansari.
Police Headquarters AIG Sohel Rana confirmed the matter.
Earlier, Sarail Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Md Shahadat Hossain Titu was withdrawn on Saturday night in the same reason.
The authorities official also said that a three-member probe body was already formed to investigate the problem.
Action will be taken following the invstigation, added.
Several thousand persons attended the namaz-e-janaza for Maulana Jubayer Ahmed Ansari in Sarail upazila of Brahmanbaria district on Saturday ignoring the social distancing rule imposed amid the spread of deadly coronavirus in the united states.
Maulana Jubayer Ahmed Ansari, the founder of a local madrasa, passed on on Friday night at his home in Bertala village.
