Bangladesh's virus deaths rise to 2,197 with 46 more
Bangladesh's COVID-19 death toll rose to 2,197 on Wednesday as 46 more died of the virus infection in last a day.
Alternatively, cases reached 1,72,134 as the recovery number stood at 80,838.
Of the dead, 38 were male and eight were female.
Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Dr Nasima Sultana confirmed the figure at the daily bulletin today.
She requested all to use masks outdoor, maintain social distancing and steer clear of public gatherings to keep safe himself/herself plus the families.
International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (ICDDRB) has create one more laboratory for coronavirus test under their own management. With this, total 75 labs are being used in the united states for the virus test, Dr Nasima informed.
In the past 24 hours, 15,672 samples have been tested across the country where 3,489 found positive for the deadly virus.
During this time period, 2,736 even more COVID-19 patients have recovered.
The current death count is 1.28 per cent and the infection rate is 22.26 percent.
