Bangladeshi cattle trader injured in BSF firing
A Bangladeshi cattle trader was injured in gunfire by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at Dabri border area under Haripur upazila of the district early Sunday.

The detainee was identified as Md. Shahin 19, son of Abdus Samad, inhabitant of Geruadangi village under the same upazila of the district.

BGB and local sources said members of Fulbari BSF camp opened fire on Bangladeshi cattle trader Shahin at Dabri border near main pillar 369 on Sunday night at around 1:30am, when his group was going to bring cows from Indian border area. 

Bangladeshi cattle trader Shahin was bullet injured in the firing of BSF. Hearing Shahin screaming, locals and BGB members rescued him and rushed to local hospital. 

Later, he was shifted to M Abdur Rahim Medical College hospital for better treatment, victim’s family said.    

Commanding officer of BGB battalion-50, Lieutenant Colonel SNM Samiul Nabi Chowdhury, confirmed the incident. 

BGB sent a letter to BSF authority of Fulbari BSF camp on Monday morning protesting at the firing. BGB also called a flag meeting at the Dabri border area in this connection, he added.
