BGB, BSF agree to minimize casualties at the border
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Border Security Force (BSF) agreed to continue their joint venture against criminal activities at the border.
This decision was taken on the 47th biannual conference of director generals of two countries in New Delhi.
The conference, inaugurated on September 3, has ended its formal activities on Friday (September 7).
A 14-member BGB delegation led by its Director General Maj Gen Shafeenul Islam participated met the 20-member BSF team led by its Director General KK Sharma.
The team is scheduled to return home on September 8.
Both sides agreed to bring casualties down to zero at the border by enforcing the existing laws in the countries against the criminals.
