BGB-BGP conference begins
DHAKA: A 4-day conference between senior officials of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Myanmar’s Border Guard Police (BGP) started at BGB headquarters in Dhaka on Monday morning (July 9).
The conference will focus on finding solution to prevent yaba smuggling and illegal intrusion of Myanmar nationals. It will end on July 12 by signing a “Joint Record of Discussions (JRD)”.
An 11-member Myanmar delegation led by Chief of Police General Staff Brigadier General Myo Than joined the conference.
On the other hand, a 15-member BGB delegation led by BGB Additional Director General Brigadier General Md Anisur Rahman also joined event.
Senior officials of Home and Foreign Ministries and Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) are among the Bangladeshi delegation.
