Bangladesh win toss, elect to bat against West Indies
Bangladesh captain Mominul Haque received the toss and made a decision to bat first the to begin the two-match Test series against the West Indies at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Chattogram on Wednesday.

Ahead of the Evaluation series, Bangladesh won a good three-meet ODI series against the visitors.

That is Bangladesh’s first Test match amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The Tigers played their previous Test in early 2020 against Zimbabwe at home.

Shakib Al Hasan has returned to check cricket with this meet after serving a good ban imposed by ICC. Shadman Islam, the left-handed top-order batsman, in addition has enjoyed a resurgence after really missing out a few Tests due to a finger injury.

The West Indies team that inducted 10 new faces in ODI series, includes three debutants.
