Bangladesh sees highest 42 fatalities in single day
Bangladesh on Sunday reported another day highest 42 fatalities, raising the total tally to 888.

The positive cases reached 65,769 with recording of 2,743 fresh cases in last a day.

Of the deceased, 35 were male while seven were female.

Concurrently, 578 more virus patients recovered, taking the total recovery number to 13,903.

Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr Nasima Sultana confirmed the matter during daily online bulletin on coronavirus.

She urged everyone to stay in the home and follow medical guidelines issued by the DGHS. She also requested persons to use masks outdoor and wash hands with soap.

A complete of 13,136 samples were tested in 52 coronavirus testing laboratories in the united states, she added.

People should careful about children and pregnant woman within their family, Dr Nasima advised. 

The global death toll from COVID-19 stood at 399,854 on Sunday afternoon as the confirmed cases were 6,900,011, in line with the Centre for System Science and Engineering of the Johns Hopkins University.
