Bangabandhu killer's son-in-law arrested
Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) of DMP has arrested the son-in-law of Sultan Shahriar Rashid Khan, executed killer of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, for his facebook post with derogatory comment against the Father of the Nation.
The CTTC members held Fuad Zaman, the husband of Rashid's daughter Shehnaz Rashid Khan, from Hatirjheel area in the capital on Wednesday night under the ICT Act.
DMP deputy commissioner Masudur Rahman confirmed the media about the arrest.
The team also seized his mobile phone and laptop.
On August 15, Fuad posted a status on his Facebook page praising the killers of Bangabandhu and making derogatory comment against Bangabandhu, he said.
Later on August 23, a case was filed with Dhanmondi police under the ICT Act.
Police produced Fuad before a Dhaka court seeking a seven-day remand for him, said the deputy commissioner.
On January 27, 2010, Sultan Shahriar Rashid Khan alongwith four other Bangabandhu killers was executed.
